Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo. She has a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts from the Art Institute of UNESP. Visual Artist and Contemporary Art Researcher. Member of ABCA (Brazilian Association of Art Critics) and ANPAP (Association of Researchers in Visual Arts). Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design and Body: Design Approaches to Art and Fashion. She coordinates the study group Design, Fashion and Body: Narratives and Contamination. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, LAPODE (Laboratory for Design Poetics) and ENTRELab (Laboratory for Practices and Processes between Body and Dressing).

ANA MAE BARBOSA, Ph.D.
Associate Professor from ECA-USP. Post-Doctorate from Columbia University and the University of Central England. Ph.D. in Humanistic Education from Boston University. Master’s degree in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State College. Specialist in Adult Education from the Secretary of Education of New Haven. Art Curator and author of several books on Art and Education. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design, Art and Education. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, Laboratory for Design Poetics (LAPODE). Faculty member of PPGDesign and Anhembi Morumbi University in the undergraduate courses of the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion. Member of the Scientific Committee of UNESCO for the organization of the World Conference on Art Education. Retired Full Professor from ECA-USP’s Ph.D. programs. President of International Society of Education through Art (1990-1993) and Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (1987-1993). She received several awards, such as APCA Grand Critics’ Award (1989), Edwin Ziegfeld Award (1992), Herbert Read International Award (1999), Achievement Award (2002) and Scientific Merit Award for commander of the Ministry of Science and Technology (2004).

CRISTIANE FERREIRA MESQUITA, Ph.D.
Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Psychology from the Center for the Study of Subjectivity, PUC-SP. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design, Art and Fashion: Contemporary Connections. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, Laboratory for Design Poetics (LAPODE) and Laboratory for Practices and Processes between Body and Dressing (ENTRELab). Faculty member of PPGDesign and Anhembi Morumbi University in the undergraduate courses of the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion. She coordinates GEzz – Zigzag study group: transversality and design. She created and designed the product line I L H A (http://ilhailha.wordpress.com); conducted research for, wrote the screenplay for and directed the documentaries Jardelina da Silva: me myself (Diphusa, DVD, 2006) and But is this fashion? (PaleoTV, DVD, 2005); and the zigzag column in dObra[s] magazine. She serves as a psychotherapist in a private practice and as a volunteer therapist at Instituto Sedes Sapientiae, where she coordinates the project CUIDE-SE [TAKE CARE]. She created and oversaw nine editions of the zigzag seminar: amazing fashion shows, workshops, cross conversations (Jan/2007 to Jan/2011 MAM/SP – http://ziguezagueblog.wordpress.com). She was alternate delegate of the Fashion department, with the Ministry of Culture/2010/2011.

GILBERTTO PRADO, Ph.D.
Associate Professor from I.A. UNESP. Post-Doctorate from Facultad de Bellas Artes, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Ph.D. in Arts from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Graduated in Engineering and Visual Arts from Unicamp. He was Professor at the Institute of Arts of Unicamp and Visiting Professor at Université Paris 8. Retired Full Professor from ECA-USP and Coordinator of the Digital Poetics Group. As an artist, he has held and participated in numerous exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. He received the 9th Prix Möbius International des Multimedia, Beijin, 2001; Rumos Award, 2000, Transmedia, 2002 – Itaú Cultural and the 6th Sergio Motta Award for Art and Technology, 2006. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Art and Design Poetics. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, LAPODE (Laboratory for Design Poetics) and Transmedia Design Lab (Laboratory for Transmedia Creation and Development). Faculty member of PPGDesign and Anhembi Morumbi University in the undergraduate courses of the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion.

Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Education: History, Politics, Society from PUC-SP. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Exhibition Design: Art, Fashion and Photography Practices. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, LAPODE (Laboratory for Design Poetics ) and MeMuLab (Museum and Memory Laboratory). Faculty member of PPGDesign and Anhembi Morumbi University in the undergraduate courses of the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion. She coordinated the Master’s Program in Visual Arts at Faculdade Santa Marcelina [Santa Marcelina College]. She worked at the Educational Department at the Museum of Contemporary Art of USP-SP. She coordinated the Arts Workshop at Brazilian Association “A Hebraica” in São Paulo.

PRISCILA ALMEIDA CUNHA ARANTES, Ph.D.
Post-doctorate from Pennsylvania State University – USA and UNICAMP. Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Communication and Semiotics from PUC/SP. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design, Art and Memory: Contemporary Perspectives. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, MeMuLab (Museum and Memory Laboratory), Professor of PPGDesign and the undergraduate courses at the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion of Anhembi Morumbi University.
She is a historian, critic, curator, cultural manager and researcher in the field of contemporary art. She has been director and curator at Paço das Artes, an institution of the State Department of Culture, since 2007 and was Deputy Director at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound) from 2007 to 2011.
She was awarded the grant by the Getty Foundation (USA), in 2012, to participate in the College Art Association (CAA) 101st Annual Conference and the 48th Jabuti Award (finalist) for Art@Media: perspectives of digital aesthetics (FAPESP/SENAC). She is the author of Art@Media: perspectives of digital aesthetics (FAPESP/SENAC), Technological Aesthetics: new ways to feel (Educ), Live Archive (Imesp), among others.

RACHEL ZUANON, Ph.D. – PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Ph.D. and master’s degree in Communication and Semiotics from PUC/SP. Designer and media artist. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design: Creation, Language and Technology. Coordinator at PPGDesign of Anhembi Morumbi University. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, SENSE Design Lab (Laboratory for Design and Neuroscience). Leader in Brazil of the research project “Time Tremors Interactive Convergent Project”, which focused on the development of innovative wearable interfaces for games, carried out in cooperation with OCAD University (Toronto), Xenophile Media (Toronto) and Zuannon Inovação pelo Design (Brazil), and subsidized by ISTP | FAPESP. Professor at PPGDesign and of the undergraduate courses at the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion. Managing partner at Zuannon Inovação pelo Design (http://www.zuannon.com.br). She served as coordinator of the Bachelor’s program in Digital Design and Graduate program in Hypermedia Design, both at UAM. She was a faculty member of the Department of Body Languages, PUC-SP. 2010 FILE PRIX LUX finalist. She won the 2007 Rumos Award for Cybernetic Art – Itaú Cultural. She received honorable mention Rumos Itaú Research 2003. 2003 Rumos Dance Videodance Award finalist –Itaú Cultural. She was awarded by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics – APCA 2000. VITAE 1999 scholarship holder in two residency programs at the American Dance Festival.

PPGDesign’s Collaborator Professor. She is currently assistant professor II of the Institute of Arts and Design of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora.

SÉRGIO NESTERIUK, Ph.D.
Sérgio Nesteriuk has a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television from School of Architecture, Art and Communication of Unesp. Leader of the Research Group at CNPq: Design, Entertainment and Education: Interfaces and Perspectives. Researcher at the Center for Design Research, Transmedia Design Lab (Laboratory for Transmedia Creation and Development). Faculty member of PPGDesign and Anhembi Morumbi University in the undergraduate courses of the School of Arts, Architecture, Design and Fashion.
He is a consultant on screenwriting and dramaturgy of games, animation and transmedia storytelling. He served as artistic and cultural producer at MIS (Museum of Image and Sound) and at Fundação Memorial da América Latina [Latin America Memorial Foundation]. He served as coordinator of the Multimedia Production Course – Animation Design and the Graduate Program in Animation Production and Direction, both at UAM. He was a faculty member of the Department of Computer Sciences, PUC-SP. He received an award from the FSA – Audiovisual Sector Fund (2012), ProAC (Cultural Action Program) of the São Paulo State’s Department of Culture (2007) and Rumos Award Itaú Cultural (2004). Author of the book Dramaturgy of Animated Series, written under the auspices of the Program to Promote the Production and Broadcasting of Brazilian Animation Series (ANIMATV) and distributed for free under Creative Commons license.
