The I International Congress / VII Workshop: Design & Materials 2016is an event wich aims at the dissemination of the state of art research related to Projects, Materials and Processes, and discusss the issues involving the transdisciplinarity between these subjects and the fields of Design, Architecture, Art and Engineering.

In its first edition as congress and seventh as workshop, the event has established itself as an important reference in the area, considered strategic for the understanding of the contribution of projects, materials and processes in the development of national competitiveness.

In continuity with previous meetings held in Londrina (UNOPAR, 2005), Bauru (UNESP, 2006), Porto Alegre (UFRGS, 2007), Ouro Preto (UEMG, UFOP, REDEMAT, 2009), Lorena (FATEA, 2010) and Bauru (UNESP, 2012), this edition is promoted by the Post-Graduation Program in Design – Master and Doctoral at Anhembi Morumbi University through its laboratories: Sense Design Lab – Design and Neuroscience; LADARQ – Projetual Conception Laboratory in Design and Architecture; LAPODE – Poetics Lab in Design; ENTRELab – Laboratory Practices and Processes Between the Body and the Dressing; GRAFLab – Research and Experimentation Laboratory for Graphic Language; MEMULAB – Museum and Memory Laboratory and TRANSMIDIADesign Lab – Transmedia Development. and Creation Laboratory.

Its main commitment is to contribute to the development and dissemination of scientific projects, materials and processes, in order to promote national and international cooperation between researchers, teachers and professionals from the fields of design, architecture, and engineering; to promote the students´s interest, and contribute to their intellectual and professional training.
